Choose from a wide array of polypropylene thin-wall tubes and caps for PCR and other assays. Selections include 0.2 and 0.5 ml individual tubes, low-profile and high-profile 0.2 ml tube strips with color options, and domed, flat, and ultraclear flat optical caps. Tubes and domed caps are available in strips of 8 or 12, and flat caps are available in strips of 8.

Features and Benefits of Bio-Rad PCR Tubes and Caps

Designed to fit precisely in Bio-Rad thermal cycler reaction blocks to ensure optimal heat transfer
Reaction volume ranges are 5–125 µl for 0.2 ml tubes and 10–200 µl for 0.5 ml tubes
Ultraclear flat caps for real-time PCR or frosted flat caps for easy labeling
Cap strips can be used with tubes or plates; capping tool (ETC2000) is recommended for fast cap seating
Negative for DNase, RNase, and human DNA

Applications and Uses

Low-profile tubes are suitable for fast PCR and low volume reactions, and can improve light capture in fluorescence assays, as well as having the low clearance needed to fit in some microplate readers
Low-profile 8-tube PCR strips are available in opaque white for increased signal in optical assays
The individual tubes are not suitable for real-time PCR
