Telomerase Inhibitor IX, also called MST-312, is a synthetic compound that acts as a reversible TERT (telomerase) inhibitor, and is described to be more potent than epigallocatechin gallate . UP37 cell studies suggest that in the presence of Telomerase Inhibitor IX, cell growth slows and the cells remain in the G0-G1 cell cycle arrest. In addition, reports indicate that Telomerase Inhibitor IX does not inhibit Taq DNA polymerase .
