CD1530 is a selective retinoic acid receptor (RARγ) agonist (K_ds = 150, 1,500, and 2,750 nM for RARγ, RARβ, and RARα receptors, respectively).¹ It demonstrates transcriptional activity at RARγ with an AC₅₀ value of 1.8 nM.¹ It has been used in combination with bexarotene (Item No. 11571), a retinoid X receptor agonist, to inhibit oral carcinogenesis induced by the carcinogen 4-nitroquinoline 1-oxide in a mouse model of human oral-cavity and esophageal squamous-cell carcinoma.²
