Platelia H. pylori IgG is an immuno-enzymatic assay for qualitative determination of IgG antibodies.

Helicobacter pylori is a spiral-shaped, Gram-negative bacillus whose causal role in inflammatory gastrointestinal diseases has been firmly established. H. pylori infection is detected in 90% of patients with duodenal ulcer and 70% of patients with gastric ulcer. The value of H. pylori eradication to ensure lasting and effective cure of duodenal ulcer has been clearly demonstrated. Testing for H. pylori infection constitutes an important diagnostic step in subjects presenting with gastroduodenal inflammatory symptoms.

Serology provides a minimally-invasive, sensitive and easy-to-perform method for the determination of H. pylori infection. Platelia H. pylori IgG is an immunoenzymatic assay for qualitative determination of IgG antibodies. This kit uses two different age-adjusted cut-off value, offering optimal sensitivity and specificity for adults and children. The GAP™ H. pylori ELISA assays are used for quantitative determination of IgG, IgA or IgM specific antibodies.
