Bio-Rad offers the colorimetric AuxaColor 2 Kit for easy, quick and reliable identification of the 33 yeast species most frequently isolated in human medical mycology. AuxaColor 2 is based on the principle of sugar assimilation. The growth of yeasts is visualized by the color change of a pH indicator. AuxaColor 2 also includes three enzymatic tests, one of which indicates the phenoloxidase activity of Cryptococcus neoformans.
