BM-531 is a thromboxane synthase inhibitor and thromboxane A2 receptor antagonist. BM-531 has a higher affinity for hromboxane A2 receptors on human platelets (IC50= 7.8 nM) than other inhibitors such as sulotroban (IC50= 0.93 μM) and SQ-29548 (IC50= 0.021 μM).
